AI Advisory: clarity before commitment

Our Advisory service is quoted day-rate consultancy that gives you an honest picture of where AI can and cannot help your business. Typical engagements include an AI readiness assessment, a Shadow AI audit, an acceptable use policy, and a prioritised use case roadmap. No subscription, no ongoing commitment.

What's included

A typical Advisory engagement includes a readiness assessment across your infrastructure, data estate, security posture and governance maturity. We evaluate your Microsoft 365 environment for Copilot readiness, including SharePoint organisation, permissions hygiene, and whether your information architecture will support useful AI responses or simply surface noise.

We detect Shadow AI through firewall logs, endpoint telemetry and browser analysis, quantifying both the productivity gains staff are already finding and the data leakage risks nobody has measured. Governance work is aligned to ISO 42001 (the AI management system standard) and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, scaled appropriately to your size and sector.

Use case discovery workshops walk through your business function by function, identifying where AI can realistically help and where it cannot. We provide prompt engineering training for your key users, because a well-constructed prompt is the difference between a tool that saves time and one that wastes it.

Who it's for

Advisory is for businesses that want clarity before commitment. You know AI is happening, you know your staff are already using it in some form, and you want an honest assessment of where you stand, what the risks are, and what the sensible next steps look like.

It suits leadership teams who would rather spend a few days discovering the truth than several months discovering they bought the wrong thing. It suits businesses where data quality is variable, where SharePoint is a dumping ground rather than a knowledge base, or where nobody is quite sure who owns the AI decision.

If you are evaluating Copilot, considering whether to build agents, or simply trying to work out whether the hype matches your reality, this is the place to start.

The first engagement, step by step

1. Discover

A half-day discovery session with your leadership team, function by function. We declare an amnesty: staff tell us what AI tools they are actually using, without fear of being told off. We map your data landscape, your security controls, and where the friction points are.

2. Assess

Findings are risk-scored. Use cases are plotted on an impact-versus-effort matrix so you can see which opportunities are quick wins and which are strategic bets. We identify what needs to be fixed before AI can help, because sometimes the answer is better data, not better tools.

3. Report

Written findings, a policy draft tailored to your business, a prioritised roadmap, and board-ready summary materials. Everything is yours to take away and act on, whether or not you work with us further.

What this isn't

We will not recommend a big-bang transformation programme, because they rarely work and you do not need one. We will sometimes tell you the best first step is fixing your data quality, cleaning up your SharePoint, or simply writing down who owns the decision, not buying AI.

If your question is genuinely whether AI can help, we will give you an honest answer. Sometimes that answer is no, or not yet, or yes but only if you fix these three things first.

Pricing

Engagements are quoted as day-rate consultancy. The scope is defined up front, the price is fixed, and there are no surprise charges or ongoing commitments.
